IMPORTANT UPDATE: Melanie’s last day at Mt Sinai Rehab & Wellbeing Centre was Friday August 3. Melanie will now be offering Friday appointments after August 3 at On The Off Beat.

On occasion, after an initial in-person assessment, if coming to a clinic location is prohibitive and if it is determined that it is an appropriate method of delivering therapy, videoconferencing may be an option for future sessions. As well, there are occasionally possibilities where Melanie may visit you on site, on location, at the theatre, on set, in your classroom, in your boardroom, or wherever you use your voice for special sessions, schedule permitting. (A travel fee applies to on-site appointments; both schedule and cost must always be discussed prior to booking an on-site appointment.)
NOTE: You can self-refer to any speech-language pathologist; that means you don’t need a doctor’s referral to come see Melanie. However, because voice therapy is not covered by OHIP, check to see if your insurance requires you to have a doctor’s referral in order to submit your receipt for reimbursement. You can email doctors’ referrals to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are a performer with ACTRA or Equity insurance, Melanie can help you navigate your insurance plan and help you with options that fit within your coverage.
